Around a year had passed since Eggman’s worldwide takeover was dismantled by the efforts of Sonic and the resistance. He continued to be an evil pest after the fact of course but with Eggman’s control gone, maintaining the world should’ve been more manageable for the foreseeable future… Unfortunately with his fall from power came many shadowy villains ready to make a name for themselves and fill that void of evil. One such villain was Dr. Starline and his doppelganger allies: Surge and Kit. They weren’t exactly a well oiled machine of a team but their strength and determination was more than enough to make up for their lack of teamwork prowess.
